TOBIN International, Ltd.’s LandTitle is a land
asset management system. It automates the
business processes required to administer the
acquisition, utilization and divestiture of land
assets. LandTitle supports these business
processes by providing for the efficient
maintenance of the legal details relating
to land transactions, and by providing an
electronic map that identifies the location of
all land holdings. The legal documents and
map data can be queried simultaneously, and
these spatial/textual queries are critical tools
in the profitable management of land assets.
Benefits:
Fully automates the maintenance and tracking of land title documents, from inception to termination.
This includes tracking potential sales and purchases that can be used to analyze “what if ” scenarios.
Increases the accuracy, timeliness and standardization of land ownership data via easy to navigate data
entry screens, resulting in an online source of the most recent data to support business operations.
Electronic notification provides a means to automatically communicate when leases expire, payments
are to be received, etc.
Provides immediate access to the land ownership data via a suite of standard and ad-hoc queries.
Dramatically reduces the time required to produce hard-copy maps and exhibits for land transactions.
Inventories the “net ”land assets for a company by reducing the sales from the purchases for each
type of ownership.
Maps of environmentally sensitive areas such as wetlands or endangered animal habitat can be overlaid
with the land asset maps to visually determine overlaps.
Key Features:
Integrates the GIS technology provided by ESRI ’s Spatial Database Engine (SDE) and MapObjects
with a comprehensive land asset management application system.
Allows the set up of “pending ”documents to explore potential land ownership scenarios.
Retains records of documents after they are terminated to provide a historical basis to current ownership.
Ability to define ownership, acreage and costs down to the parcel level, and map those parcels.
Ability to know at a glance current land ownership by a multitude of factors including interest type,
the company ’s operating units and geographic region.
