Environmental Analysis Tool 

TOBIN brings together the information needed to support environmental assessments. The soil and wetland map layers stored within TOBIN's Information Management Center provide the first source of information required for determining environmentally sensitive areas for any new project areas. TOBIN's Environmental Analysis Tool allows the user to update or create environmentally sensitive area boundaries within a map display of their land base with an overlay of current or proposed facilities. Combining this capability with TOBIN's seamless USGS 7.5' color quads, aerial photography or satellite imagery allows the user to perform an initial assessment of the area prior to going to the field. This information can be stored on a notebook PC and taken to the field to provide a first hand look at the area. The update feature allows the user to add field notes and additional attributes, which will be used for permitting and to support federal, state and local reporting requirements.
