TOBIN has created the Image Data Management System (IDM) to revolutionize
the way clients utilize their own proprietary image archives as well as TOBIN’s own raster imagery data sets. IDM not only allows clients to view and extract valuable information, but vector overlays allow the interaction of geo-spatial models to coexist in one environment. From site planning to disaster relief efforts, the integration of raster and vector data into one system allows clients to be more efficient in their business decisions.

IDM is a complete system that incorporates seamless geo-rectified imagery, software and hardware. IDM allows users to select and cut out any size region of interest and re-project this raster imagery on the fly. This is a simple, out-of-the-box, GIS-ready, point-and-click solution for any land-based information department.

The IDM solution allows clients to receive geo-spatial updates from TOBIN. Updates can include
new aerial or satellite-borne imagery, change detection (i.e., encroachments on rights-of-way) and land use/land cover.

TOBIN covers the continental U.S. with OverVue 25-m (1993 vintage, Landsat 5 satellite imagery,
25-meter resolution), OverVue 15-m (2000 vintage, Landsat 7 satellite imagery, 15-meter resolution), TopoVue (U.S.G.S 1:24,000 scale DRG), DOQQ (U.S.G.S 1-meter Aerial Photography), and 3’/6’ Digital OrthoMaps (select areas).

TOBIN also covers the world with Global Planner ? 1:500,000 scale Russian topographic maps in a seamless IDM database, and Country Planner (available mid 2001) ? 1:200,000 & 1:100,000 scale Russian topographic maps.
